WHO WE ARE
Polstrat Communication Private Limited ("Polstrat", "we") runs www.polstrat.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, who handles it for us, how long it stays with us, and how you can ask us about it.
WHAT WE COLLECT
When you send us a message (Contact page). Your name, email address, mobile number, the category you chose, and your message. We use it to reply to you.
When you apply for a role (Careers page). Your name, email address, mobile number, the role you are applying for, and the CV you attach. We use it to consider your application and to contact you about it.
When you visit the site. Our hosting provider records technical information about each request, including your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time. We use it to run and secure the site. We also use privacy friendly analytics and performance measurement (Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights), which count visits and measure page speed without setting cookies or building a profile of you.
Security check on our forms. The Contact and Careers pages use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell a person from an automated program. While it runs, Turnstile receives your IP address, your browser type and a few technical signals about how your browser behaves. It does not read what you type into the form.
When something on the site breaks. If a page or a form hits a technical fault, your browser sends a short error report to Sentry, hosted in the European Union, so that we can find and fix it. The report holds a description of the error, where in our code it happened, the page address without anything after a question mark, and your browser type. We remove email addresses and long numbers from the text, and we never include what you typed into a form or the contents of a CV. Sentry may also see your IP address as part of the connection.
We do not run advertising, we do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not sell personal data.
COOKIES
We do not set cookies on this website, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The security check on the Contact and Careers pages is run by Cloudflare, which describes the signals it uses as strictly necessary for bot detection. Your browser may keep copies of our pages, images and scripts so the site loads faster. This is not used to identify you.
WHY WE USE YOUR DATA
You give us the details in a form voluntarily, and we use them only for the reason you gave them: to answer your message or to consider your application. We also use technical data to keep the site working and secure, and where the law requires it.
WHO HANDLES YOUR DATA FOR US
- Vercel hosts the website and records the request logs and analytics described above.
- Resend delivers the messages and applications you submit to our team by email.
- Google Workspace is our email system, where those messages and CVs arrive.
- Supabase stores the articles we publish and the sign in accounts of our editors. It does not store what you submit in the Contact or Careers forms.
- Cloudflare runs the Turnstile security check on the Contact and Careers pages, as described above.
- Sentry receives the technical error reports described above and stores them in the European Union.
- Instagram (Meta): the Our Work page can show our Instagram posts. When it does, the images load from Instagram's servers, and Meta can see that your browser asked for them.
These providers act for us under their own terms and may only use the data to provide their service. They are international companies, so your data may be processed outside India.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
What you submit reaches us as an email. Messages and CVs stay in our mailboxes until we delete them, and we do not copy them into a separate database. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for the period its service sets. If you would like us to delete your message or CV, write to us (see below) and we will.
YOUR RIGHTS
You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to erase it, withdraw consent you have given us, and nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to. To do any of these, or to raise a concern, write to team@polstrat.com. We will respond within 60 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
CHILDREN
This website is not directed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us their details, write to us and we will delete them.
SECURITY
Pages and form submissions travel between your browser and our servers over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and submissions are checked before they are sent on to our team.
CONSENT
When you submit a form you agree that we may use the details as described in this policy. You can withdraw that consent at any time by writing to us.
CHANGES
We will update the date at the top of this page when this policy changes.
